ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

i might be jumping the gun, but transaction is showing on the online portal but my points balance hasn't increased. will report back if i was incorrect (fingers crossed!).

As you were doing a 'test' run, it may be hard to know either way.

Citibank is notorious for its opaque point reconciliation. You'd need to either do a large transaction or to quarantine the card for 1-2 weeks to see the points change, if any.

I dummy tested the NSW OSR a few months ago on an unused Citi Sig and that seemed OK.

Caveat emptor : Citibank may have changed since.

NSW OSR

appears i have been the boy who cried wolf in my desperation to transfer to SQ.

interestingly the main citi page shows a lower points balance than going across to the rewards page. (seems to be a day behind in transactions)

And the app is one day behind the bank's main page.

That's great news diningdecadence least will take some of the edge off giving OSR our hard earned.

Some payroll tax is on my Citi Prestige card this month so I will watch the points earn once the account gets paid later this month. With ATO I spread it around this month and I realized too late that there are 3 separate WOW cards in our family for a triple dip of 2500 points for 7,500 QF points.

I've read the posts in the last month or so, does this sound right?

Best cards for Amex:
-ANZ FF Black, 1.5 QFF points per dollar, uncapped
-Westpac Altitude Black, 0.75 QFF points per dollar, uncapped
-ANZ FF Platinum, 1.5 QFF points per dollar, monthly cap of 6k points

Non-Amex:
HSBC Platinum Visa, 1 QFF point per dollar, annual cap of 300k points

Does anyone have experience with ANZ Rewards Black (ie. the non-QFF type)?
I also didn't get the silver doughnut reference?

And Woolworths Visa good for up to $2000 per month, isn't it?

Thanks. Was looking for the 500,000 number and couldn't find it, for those wondering it says the cap is 1,000,000 CommBank Awards points per year:
https://www.commbank.com.au/content...download-printed-forms/CommonwealthAwards.pdf
The conversion from CommBank = QFF is 2:1 for the diamond (so half a million QFF per year), with the Amex earn being 3 Commbank points per dollar (ie. 1.5 QFF per dollar).

And Woolworths Visa good for up to $2000 per month, isn't it?

$2,500 per month at 1:1, then 0.5pt:$1.

Thanks. Anything above $2500 doesn't seem that great, but the reduced Visa/MC fee is a plus.

Hi guys.

Can someone remind me what happened to NAB Qantas Premium Amex. I remember as of May it was no longer a goer for ATO but I can't remember the reason. Does it pay nothing at all for ATO or was the earn rate halved or was the points earn capped ?

I got a huge untouched credit limit on that card and if the earn rate was halved may still be worthwhile for me to use it coz it will help with cash flow etc as I wouldn't need to preload.

Cheers

Morning.

From May it pays nothing for ATO. I haven't done a test payment to do confirm though.

Cheers, Steven.

NAB = zero points earn for ATO

Yes you remembered the scissors that I have. I did find that Citi Prestige has some real non ATO benefits so those cards were saved.

5 points per dollar on overseas spend ?
Equivalent to 2.67 KF miles per dollar I believe
