ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

Exactly...

Lists have been created before, however as it's constantly evolving what card/s are best going to replace my NAB premiums for ATO with QFF earn. I guess I need to get my new cards in place come May. ANZ FF Black? Westpac Altitude Black?

Westpac is no go.
ANZ FF Black is still a goer as far as I know (used it last month). Uncapped and 1.5 QFF points on the Amex. I'll need to up the limit on this one once I cancel my NAB. Should have upped it after I cancelled my woolies two months ago actually.

I like Velocity points more than Qantas but not a deal breaker, I have more points that can go to Velocity/Krisflyer than in Qantas anyway so viewing any new card as a short term prospect it wouldn't be a big deal to go Qantas.

So ANZ black FF is a goer for me too, but ANZ black rewards only seems to give me 1.33 points per dollar if moving to Velocity.

CBA diamond seems to give me 1.5 ppd to Velocity (but with a points cap).

Am I reading the ANZ one right, seems funny that they are more generous with Qantas than Velocity?

ANZ black is still effective as at 10/3/15

(Will report on b/w world and silver doughnut platinum when the come through)

Can confirm NAB Velocity Premium still giving points as of 6th March but this will end 1st May. Points will also be capped to $20K per statement after that date. -time for one last hurrah?

I think we will soon reach the point where an Amex-issued card with a tax-deducted surcharge becomes a consideration

Just received ,last week, my first NAB velocity premium card. Nothing in the T+C's about these changes and nothing on the web site either. I know you guys have been notified on your statements but certainly they are not passing this info onto their new customers

You should ask for a refund of the annual fee. They should be notifying new customers of the new T&Cs

Good news: NAB Qantas Platinum Card points (including ATO payment of approx $17k) posted to QFF today.
Bad news: Another one (is about to) bite(s) the dust!...

No points for ATO payments after 1 May.

How about if we applied for the card under the $0 first year no annual fee promotion like I did ? Do you reckon we could squeeze them for a few more points instead ?

Made a partial payment using my Westpac Mastercard Altitude last week. Was not aware of not accruing any points anymore. I blame myself for not reading the changes to the T&C they send you.

I thought you still earnt some points for ATO spend on Westpac altitude mastercard just at half the usual rate ?

Points posted to QFF account for NAB Qantas Rewards card. I paid NSW Land Tax and ATO using MC for 0.5pts/$.

I have returned to Australia and you guessed it. More ATO and several cards are less useful than a few weeks ago. One is due by 21st so time to overcome jet lag and give a bank a thrill.

Still nothing on the website on main pages or in T+C's, still advertising the 100k per month limit. But it seems like a forgone conclusion so just now I will hammer home the ATO payments with very little other "fillers" and then ask Cove for his titanium scissors....after I have received the sign on bonus!

Had a biggish ATO amount to pay this week as I am travelling most of next week. I used ANZ Black Amex to help my son together with two Westpac Kris Flyer Platinum Amex cards seeing they change to lower earn rate on April 1st..
Yum points/ miles all at 1.5 to the dollar this month so it is still going.
i resisted temptation of using Qantas Credit Union card as yesterday was day two of using the card and I really need a point a dollar Qantas card. I am confident I can use this new card for general lifestyle things where Amex is not accepted.
