Howdy

Due to a new travel agent, I'm flying Qantas to Seoul instead of Asiana - so no miles. Unfortunately I have dirt (bronze) status with Qantas, but *G with SIA.

What are my lounge options? Will I be allowed in to Qantas with my *G card? Can I slink in to AirNZ?

Also, what are my chances of an upgrade, seeing that I'm also flying full Y and seat counter shows empty business class seats.

No

None, upgrades are by virtually always by status first. QF will let J go empty if no one purchases a ticket and there is no need to bump up Y pax because of overselling.

The flight is on OZ metal, but I still wouldn't hold my breath...

Lounge access? You could try to bluff your way into SQ's lounge (you are a *G on *A metal), but be prepared to be told no.
