Hi all

I changed an Asia Miles redemption booking about 3 weeks ago. The new flight departs on 27 December, but I still have not been issued with a new e-ticket and no points adjustments have been made to the account. When I last spoke to the call centre about a week ago, they said the ticketing departure was too busy and there's a backlog.

What's other people's experience with Asia Miles? Do they take that long to issue a new ticket?

Did the change involve a change to the routing, or just to the date/time of the flights? If the latter, then the original e-ticket number will remain as the ticket did not require to be re-issued.

It's a change to routing, so it's a new ticket

Then I suggest you call Asia Miles and ask them about the re-issue.

Yeah, already called them twice actually. They know it's a new ticket. They just said the ticketing dept was too busy.

Well I know it's too late to answer your question now but I'm still posting for future reference. And in here, I hope you did have you booking change with no major issue.

For new ticket (Especially e-ticket only on CX), it only needs less than 24 hours to re-issue (Like different route etc). Therefore as long as the seat is reserved, then there is no need to worry too much for the ticketing.

Side note: I heard that without having CX status, not only it's hard to get someone to talk to in the call centre with the busy phone line but it's likely to have delay for the issuing/ticketing.
