Team my first post here so sorry if in the wrong section. I have been gold for many years and should make PLAT this year for once but i am trying to maximise my use of QF Flight numbers via my travel agent (sadly Canada based).

I am doing BNE- Singapore-Thailand-Vietnam-Malaysia-Manila-BNE in Feb over 3 weeks and my travel agent book some QF numbers, one Vietnam airways legs, one JetStar two Malaysia Airlines legs, 3 QF legs. Want to ensure get the best SC and points but also enjoy the extra baggage allowance etc.......is there a better way to fly QF numbers or ensure i get them?

Cheers

Be cautious in getting QF flight numbers in Asia on 3K and expecting earn, many of the options on offer book into non earning fare buckets. Have a look at MH, often cheaper with same SC earn along with one World benefits & their baggage policy is also generous, while some of their J fares are very good value.

Often you are better booking on 3K flight number and getting the Plus bundle for full economy SCs - I did this and got 40SC on a oneway HKG-SIN once for about A$200.

I'd suggest booking QF BNE-SIN and then the rest on MH J.
