Hope that is a good thing, your point. What's the old saying, the only thing worse then being pissed off is being pissed on..

Who knows.

I've just been extremely judgemental in my other comments, is all. I imagine that some who judged your story are probably thinking negatively about my judgemental opinion. ;)

The linked (original) thread has now disappeared - probably a good thing by the sounds of things.

Why anyone wouldn't feel compelled to assist/side with your family is beyond me! Best wishes to your boy and family!

I hope that through this experience for the family, that the department who booked the flights in the first place has reviewed their policies and procedures in order to prevent a situation like this occurring again.

Thank you, I just wanted to point out the ignorance and prejudice toward real people going through really tough times and those people can read what you write. Every action has a reaction. Now if we were just travellers, with a kid that had a heart condition and were trying to get a cheapie then a lot of what was said, except for the low blows, were valid points. But no, this is about the transfer of a sick 5 year old child who underwent 4 open heart ops and 5 months on an external artificial heart, hospitalised for the previous 8 months to the flight, who just wanted to get home on a Govt organised and payed for ticket.

One thing working for the Justice Dept for the best part of a decade taught me was to get everything in writing, I could copy and paste the thread here easily enough but people who have been on this forum probably have a good idea what was posted anyway.

Welcome to AFF Neva00. I do hope you stick around. As one of the AFF'ers to reply to the original thread on the news report on your son's flight I can assure you that despite the robust discussion that occurs on here we are by and large a very welcoming community.
I hope your son is continuing to make great progress. As I alluded to in the original 2010 thread, I can't say the same progress has been made with the very tricky process of accurate and efficient booking of patient transfers.

I couldn't post the initial link at the time as I hadn't reached the quota at that point to do so.

Funnily enough it worked for me when I clicked it...

Anyway I hope your young lad is now kicking goals. All the best.

Oh and welcome to AFF!

Guilty as charged. Apologies. Silly comment(s) with very little information. Hope everything goes well with your son and your family.
