Are those queueing stanchions in front of the Rex Lounge? HAHA! Are they expecting people to join a four row deep due to get in?

Although it looks like the queue for the lounge they are actually lanes for the various bus gates.

I use the REX lounge now as I am back to red with Virgin.Sometimes I have it all to myself or share with one or two others. Its quiet , comfortable with simple but good tasting fare.

Wife might have a Rex flight from Sydney next week, am I understanding that Rex is currently departing from T3 but the lounge is still open in T2? I definitely don't think that lounge is worth the double trek LOL can only assume it's been left open for Priority Pass revenue?

It must be very new even though the REX website still has it in T2 as do several of the lounge sites such as Priority Pass.
Site has now been updated. The new T3 lounge is open and located near Gate 16.

Interesting move considering they were only meant to be in T3 until late-2026. I wonder if this has changed? It would be strange to open a lounge after 12+ months of being in T3, only to move back to T2 in a few months anyway.
