NZ Herald had a puff piece on new lounge opening officially opening next week.
Is there a prize for the first AFF member to do a report?
The Herald also said QF would be starting year round flights from AKL to Samoa and Gold Coast with J seats available to Gold coast.

Interestingly mentioned by Ben but I can't find it elsewhere that the dining area is for oneworld Emeralds.

The only QF press releases I've seen by QF refer to it being for P1 and WP but no specific OWE mention?

Will be interesting once it opens as CX has just done something recently in HKG with the Bridge and the "Exclusive retreat" only for CX Diamond and CX First.

Either way, the whole thing looks nice and the dedicated Emerald City will be a nice touch.

This is confirmed by the Point Hacks staffer who made the PR trip that OWE gets access to the dining area. But of course, lets see how QF goes with enforcement/lack thereof

Like this concept. I never understood why QF didn't do something similar with BNE when they opened up the 3rd floor or PER T4 when they got rid of the yoga floor concept. Or LHR / HKG too (if they were trying to give it a soft refurb ahead of Project Sunrise flights and have retracted on the QF LHR F lounge.
