Is it any different than the 787 or A330 J?

Was just about to say it’s a great improvement on the original a380 design but really, it’s just rolling out what’s in the 787’s.

Compared with A330 J it has retractable dividers between the middle seats (the 787 also has this). Window seats get the usual A380 side storage bins.

I'm not sure about the statement "all the returning superjumbos have been upgraded" - I thought the first one they brought back was non-refurb?

Just boarded QF12. The storage lockers beside the windows are great. Haven’t seen them before.

This is far from new - Announced 5 years ago in 2017 and first plane refurbed late 2019.

Does anyone know if all Qantas' A380's are refurbed at this point? As I recall there were a few still to be completed before COVID hit. Or is it a case of Qantas not returning all A380's to service?

Given the lack of long haul flying the last two years, they are as good as new to the flying masses.

Maybe, though I'd categorise most people on AFF more as flying enthusiasts rather then the masses. I've never flown the refurbhed A380, but there was so much fanfare at the time that it was hard to forget.

Though, the J product is essentially the one from the 787.

Interesting that the article mentions at some length the problem of the sagging seats in the old cabin. I don’t recall the same media outlet highlighting the issue previously?

IIRC Two of the twelve are not being returned to service.
