Article: Guide to Lounge Access When Flying Jetstar

Firstly, this benefit is only available at Qantas-operated lounges. If you’re flying Jetstar from an airport where Qantas uses a third-party lounge, such as Queenstown, Bali or Bangkok, you won’t have any lounge access.
As a Qantas club member have always been able to the CHC Manaia Lounge with all JQ ticket types (seat only to max). Even if not listed in the QF eligibility guidelines. The lounge is open, even when no other (evening) departing international flights by other airlines.. ZQN is also a Manaia Lounge.

Correct, CHC and ZQN are the exceptions to this rule and even open specially for JQ services.

Additionally QF Gold and above can use the Blossom Lounge in Changi T4 prior to 3K/JQ services.

Thanks for pointing this out, we've updated the article.

An old, pre CV19, article, (June 2021)-->
The two Manaia lounges have a paper sheet that gets marked off and sent to Qantas with different sections like those accessing for JQ flights or those on QF services (separated with a individual tally of Gold, Plat etc).

Prior to Qantas and Jetstar operated flights (need to be a QF, EK, oneworld or JQ flight number)
- Qantas Club, Qantas Gold, Qantas Platinum, Qantas Platinum One and Chairmans Lounge (all + 1 guest).

Prior to Qantas operated flights only
- QF Business Class (flight number doesn't matter), Oneworld Emerald and Sapphire (who need to be on a oneworld flight number) (all + 1 guest).

Prior to Qantas or Emirates flights (QF or EK flight number)
- Emirates Business Class (no guest)
- Emirates First, Emirates iO, Emirates Platinum and Emirates Gold (all + 1 guest).

Ironically that sign for VA has been removed and VA Gold/Plat/Business don't get access on any international flights.

With regards to the Qantas complimentary lounge invitation passes, is it still the case at the moment where they are usable for Jetstar flights even after the expiry date if you simply link it beforehand? As per the older posts here and here. At the front desk counter is it simply a visual confirmation of your email or they have your name on the list that day, or do they actually scan your email QR code etc?

I'm flying ADL to MEL on a Jetstar flight tomorrow and using a Qantas complimentary lounge pass so i'll let you know if they scan my QR code or not.
