Irish pass was no good in France as it only records the original two vaccines. Since most people had their 2nd vaccine more than 180 days ago the Irish pass has thus expired. Ireland govt plans to update the form to include booster soon!
A simple way to check if your QR code works in Europe is to download the “TAC verif” app from the App Store. This is the app which French cafe/museum staff use to check you in and different to the Tous Anti Covid app which you use to hold your own QR code and other documents.
I double-checked using an expired QR and a valid QR and the TAC verif picked both correctly.

Switzerland is removing most COVID restrictions from today, including the requirement to show a Covid certificate to enter venues etc.

Good news, but I hope this doesn't mean they'll stop issuing Covid Certificates to tourists...

Unfortunately, yes they have stopped issuing certificates to tourists, received the following yesterday.

Reason for refusal: Following announcements by the Federal Council, COVID certificates are no longer required in Switzerland. (Following the announcement of the Federal Council, COVID certificates are not required anymore in Switzerland)"

Now waiting to see whether France and Italy are going to change their requirements before our trip in April.

Thanks! I guess that's the only option. Although I hear finding a pharmacist in france sometimes takes a couple of goes. I wonder if GPs in Italy are similar. And I wonder if this still applies since the new policy came into play.

Thanks. I've got both of those. But I've still heard of many struggling to get the paperwork accepted without the Swiss pass and the QR code.
