Hi everyone =) I'm new here lol. I hope I'm posting in the right place...

I'm Elise and I'm 17 and from Perth. At the end of this year as a reward for doing well at school as it's my final year (presuming I do well) my parents said that I could go on a trip. I would really like to go around the world and the oneworld explorer fares sound the best but I don't really understand them haha. I'm trying to find the best deal that I can which uses frequent flier miles if possible =) I don't particularly care where I go lol I would like to go to as many different places as possible. I would really like to go to Paris, New York, Italy, Tokyo and maybe California and Switzerland but I guess it doesn't really matter. Anywhere would be good =)

Could anyone please advise me on any good deals involving frequent flier miles are and possible itinerarys? Since this is my final year of school I finish early and can depart during the cheaper seasons =P (about mid-November)

Thanks =)
~Elise

P.S Oh yeah we have Qantas Frequent Fliers if that helps...

I have just book a RTW Brisbane > USA > Canada > UK > Paris > Singapore >Bali >Perth > Gold Coast

I have a number of stopps in USA going to San Fran, Vegas, Miami, New York and Toronto

With all those stopps its costing me just over $3300 Inc taxes booked though American Airlines wich is part of one world (dosnt have all the fuel fines that qantas has) saving of about $350, and still get miles and status credits on the Qantas FF program. Im only using 13 of my 20 sectors I could use, so you can go to more places.

Hope that helps

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Welcome to AFF dancin_elise :)

If you want to use miles to pay for the ticket then it wont be an explorer fare (that can be a good one if pay you cash for the ticket). Using miles is more restrictive in what you can and cant do, and at that time of year especially you need to be very flexible as it could be difficult to get availability. Note the amount of points required doesn't depend on high season or low season, but rather where you want to go and who you'll be flying to get there and back.

I'd start with a loose idea of where you want to go and timing. Some of the long haul flights will be toughest to find availability for mileage (award) tickets, and this will probably restrict your timing.
