Are QF Dash-8s really this good?

While doing some searches on theqantassource.com, I came across this:

At least you wouldn't have to worry about anyone reclining their seat into you on those redeyes back from Asia.

I try and avoid them CBR-SYD -- would not enjoy a SIN-SYD flight (especially if expecting a refurbed J!!).

I for one like them.
Have flown them a few times.
They fly lower and I can see the landscape better.

But Pooch it's only a narrow body - hardly in the same league as the B767.

I know! Way better than on a B738 - we're almost talking exit row proportions.

It seems to me that the discrepancies are due to the different callsigns used by the QF Link aircraft. For example, I believe that QF2003 (TMW-SYD) would use the callsign "Q-Link 3 Delta"

Actually, this route already exists. QF191/QF192 operates almost daily between CNS and POM using a regular Q400 - no Dash 8-ERs required.

No fun flying into a storm on a Dash 8. I've done cat 9 typhoon on 767 no probs but was turning green on Dash 8 out of Canberra during a storm - all I can say is, thank goodness it was only a short flight.
