The restriction on guests was supposed to be lifted in June when renovations were due to be completed ....Was looking close a couple of weeks ago..

Travelling again on Monday and would like to take a guest...

Can someone confirm plz?

Flew out of PER yesterday, and the signs restricting guest access were still up at bottom of escalator. There is still work going on, in the old CL area, and the old food service and adjacent sit down area.

There is a new CL now, above the escalators that brig you up from security.

My girlfriend and I were both allowed in on Tuesday evening (I was flying though she was not), this was at ~10:30pm so I'm not sure how much that the time factored into this.

i also got in with two guests on Thursday, despite the signs.

Still packed as hell though because of the works. I left after 5 mins and figured that the general plebs area was better.

I took two friends (not flying QF) into the club on Friday afternoon. The signs restricting guest access are still up and the lounge refurbishment is far from complete. I was allowed to bring my two friends. However, I asked how long it would be before guests would again be allowed to which the agent said "August or September"! I asked why that was and her simply response was "builders!"

FWIW, the QP at Perth has an overfill area (smallish) at the bottom of the exit escalator for the QP.

Provided that is not full, I believe that people can guest others in (unofficially).

In short, its a lottery atm.

Got into QP this arvo and couldn't see any signs this time so looks like guests are now OK..

A warning though...I was travelling alone so didn't get a chance to test it..

The renovations seem completed but still not a spare seat in the house! WTF?:(

Was there on Thu afternoon myself - packed to the rafters with people standing until seats became vacant - they were struggling to keep up with the snacks provision and general clean up... I left after 10 mins too - just too crowded.

I thought the sign saying the new CL lounge being open was just salt in the wound - as in "suck on this plebs, the people with real status are doing fine" .

Doesn't reflect well on QF

Ooops, forgot to mention the continued rubbing of salt in the wound I experienced on the flight to Sydney.

Was seated in an exit row, seat D I think , deep in whY. The two gentleman in A & B must be pretty special and important because they struck up a conversation with the stew during take off and were rewarded with a couple of bottles of wine plus snacks immediately the seatbelt signs were off. The rest of us waited 30 mins for the food trolley to come around with a meal and wine.:oops::evil: Oh, and then they were offered another bottle of wine each after the meal - a drinks service not offered to the rest of us meal mortals in whY at the time.

Not happy Jan!

I'll provide some feedback to QF as I was asked to participate in a satisfaction survey this week.
