First timer stupid question to this way of booking... does this mean it pops up as a codeshare flight? AA...?
Yada Yada said:Man, this is one very enlightening thread. Thanks to all those in the know for sharing.
So now that it's public, how long until QF or AA shuts this down? :?:
Where did you see this?jakeseven7 said:Is there a reason why Jetstar flights come up as:
OPERATED BY AIR JAMAICA EXPRESS
LOL Fell off my seat when I saw this come up.. thought it was an error so refreshed and rebooked and looks like I will be flying Air Jamaica Express between Melbourne and Launceston. (And yes I have the right countries - flight numbers and times match Jetstars schedule)
wandering_fred said:OTOH the QF Singapore site is a lot cheaper than AA for SIN-PER-SIN. Probably because QF offers V class (and up) (though occasionally N) and AA only offers the full Y excursions.
attimo said:After booking the flight on the AA website, is there a way of getting the corresponding Qantas booking reference without actually calling AA or Qantas?
It's not the same as the AA booking reference.
Dave Noble said:QF offers a number of fares from Singapore which have a booking restriction of "only for sale in Singapore" . These fares will not appear on AA, nor are they available for sale from QF telephone sales in Australia
odoherty said:I just booked a flight from BNE to AKL on the Qantas website.
Just out of interest, I then had a look to see how much it was on AA.com
Is this normally the case? If so, I will certainly check AA.com in the future - any problems getting points credited to QFF?
jrobin said:I am still trying to understand why QANTAS USA charge lower fares than QANTAS UK for flights.
Is this to compete with AA.com?
Dave Noble said:If you want to add a QF FF number, then phoning QF is prob the easiest way to get the reference and add the FF number
Soundguy said:When I phoned QF to do this they said it had to be done through AA as the flight was booked through them. So I called AA in Sydney and they added my QFF number on the spot and the trip then appeared on the QF website under 'my bookings' within minutes.
