The xONEx fare rules list BA affiliate British Mediterranean (BMED) as one of the carriers that can be used.
A large proportion of BMED's flights are to Central Asia, but it's not clear to me what region Central Asia is considered to be in: Europe/Middle East, or Asia? Are there certain countries in one and certain countries in the other?
Many of BMED's destinations are only served by direct flights between LHR and that destination. If that destination is deemed to be in Asia, you have no choice but to fly Europe-Asia-Europe, since you can't fly to anywhere else in Asia without connecting back through LHR.
I'm thinking of destinations like Tashkent (Uzbekistan), Baku (Azerbaijan), Tbilisi (Georgia), Yerevan (Aremenia), Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan), and Almaty (Kazakhstan)
Or are some BMED destinations simply not available on a xONEx?
