Hi, it's been a question that keep me up at night and often whilst sipping champagne in the Hyatt's club lounge after a massage, the thought causes me deep concern. As it worries me, the nicest thing I could do, was to disperse any rumours that we are driven by "who will pamper us the most", that we are hoarding mileage in some obscure European program and we are un Australian because we don't know which place is home
There are a group of us that frequent an other place, and fly out of SYD and MEL on a weekly basis to do things to keep us in the style to which we have grown accustomed.
We fly GA, because they give us icecream and supply us with little airconditioned buses, we tolerate TG only for the Pad Thai, the noodles and the massage prior to the flight, we excuse SQ having that old 773 because they bring us home in the A380 and they let us in to the special lounge, even CI pick us up in limos and prestamp us through immigration and CX have that beautiful lounge. We consider these petty little niceties, essentials. We insist on a sincere and valid reason from the checkins why a child or baby should not be off loaded, if not why they shouldn't be strapped into seats at the rear of the aircraft. We like our champagne chilled so the glass glistens, and the lobsters should be served au natural with the lime in those little bags. We want faster than fast track, golf carts to whizz us from International lounges to domestic lounges, guaranteed seating because it's not our fault we change our minds.
It's just normal everyday stuff, we would hate to think that we were being treated any different to anybody else, although if they could close those curtains during takeoffs and landings ....
, regards bkkrop
