I went for 2 x paper, 1 x staples and 1 x dividers .... happy days - all for $20 odd dollars :D

SWMBO got this offer as well :D

10,000 bonus Aquire Points for joining before 16 November 2014
Plus another 10,000 bonus Aquire Points when your business earns with any Aquire partner before 16 November 2014

Sweet! $2.95 and free delivery for something I forgot to buy from Officeworks today :)

Is it worth getting an ABN just so you can collect Aquire points?

If that's the only reason you want an ABN, then no.

Legally, you have to be carrying out a business activity to obtain an ABN. There are penalties involved if the ATO catches you out making a false or misleading statement to obtain an ABN. From the ATO website:

When applying for an ABN it's important that the information you provide is true and correct. Making a false or misleading statement to the Australian Business Register may result in a penalty of up to $10,200.

More on penalties here: https://abr.gov.au/General-information/Making-a-false-or-misleading-statement

Do you really want to take that risk for a few thousand Aquire Points?

Bonus points can be converted straight away in this case.

Be aware there is a minimum transfer; 3000 in our case.

However this 10k would be well over that. Which is good as we've had 2.6k looking like they would expire ...

Just wanted to check some facts on this:

- The 10k + 10k bonus offer (joining and first spend) seems to be available on the QF website but when I click through the link (https://www.aquire.com.au/join) it mentions a $50 join fee in addition to waiving the $179 annual fee.
- Is this the same for the email offer? If the email offer lets you really join for free and still pick up the points, can someone PM me and send me the link/details?

I haven't seen any emails, probably because I don't have an ABN, but my better half will definitely be getting one for her private tutoring on the side so I may as well look into this.

The email offer for the 20k is the same ... I.E. $50 discounted fee. I took it up on behalf of SWMBO as 20,000 points for $50 + a ream of paper = good value IMO. We have a number of other ABN's which we'll also roll into Acquire as the 20K bait is too tasty to ignore!

If all goes to plan we'll do very well out of acquire!

Spose I'll cop a whack for this and be accused of killing the golden goose - BUT - is there a limit to the number of ABNs that can be linked to one individual QFF number?

Cheers, thanks for the info. 20k for $50 is fine in my books as well.

Such as Item Number 87015720 or 87015722? I wonder if Item Number FOO00095 counts? :D

I would've got an ABN and joined, if I was eligible for an ABN, just for the joining bonus. Meanwhile, they just keep spamming me with invites.

My wife has an ABN however, so I signed her up when 5000 bonus points were on offer. With the latest offer to hit her inbox, I'm sure that there's something that she needs. :)

I'll be making sure that her Aquire membership is cancelled before the membership is due, though. As a small business, the value simply isn't there. I doubt that her pending points will get anywhere near the required 20,000 for them to come into play.

I had joined earlier this year but did not activate, I have activated now and noticed we had 6K points pending, just not sure what that means, reading above you have to earn 20K in points to convert ?

That excludes the bonus points which can be converted once you hit 3500 from memory, with 10K thats not an issue.

3000 is the minimum transfer amount if that is what you were thinking about.

Cheers, thats correct, for some reason I was just short and thought it was 3500 but some car hire points have come through.

Thanks just called them, not entitled to the 10K + 10K points as was already a member even though not activated, so I will do the Staples order for the 10K bonus I guess and will then convert them over. Not sure I would get much value going forward and will make note to cancel membership in March next year I think

You can convert over once you have 20k worth of Aquire points. Prior to that they are all pending.
