Apple iPhone 5C/S

I will be surprised if 4S will be available next year and if so what sizes will be left in the range.
Simo,

I know where to buy a new 3GS if you want. ie the older models are still available if you know where.
(not eBay)

Just downloaded iOS7. Can't say I like the new graphics. Typeface on many screens is so light you barely see it against the background.
New Calendar is particularly bad. One aspect of it I don't like is that I usually have the month on my screen, and if a day has details I can touch the day and they appear at the bottom of my screen. Now I end up with the whole 24 hours, and have to scroll through hour by hour to find appointments etc.

I am using iOS7 on my iPad from this morning, and agree that the symbols are quite light. A wander around the settings hopefully will find a solution.

I warn anyone about to buy an iphone 5c or 5s that at the launch event the battery life is described as only being 'as good, or better', than the iphone 5.

I am amazed this was not the first thing they improved in the new model as it is by far the worst feature of the 5 (which I have had for almost a year). I am a reasonably heavy user of my phone and have to charge it twice per day.

If I had my time again I would have just bought a 4s for the much better battery life.

Though realistically speaking my current 4s battery life is very ordinary at best.

I'm really not enjoying iOS7 so far. Safari is not as straight forward to navigate

Me either. I really dislike safari now. I don't like the icons. And the way you can't swipe away emails easily anymore. I'm not a fan at the moment. :(

Is there any way to remove those icons in safari ?

Mine too! Think it needs a new battery (13/14 mths old).

Note to self. Dont update.

That was my theory about iOS6 - I'm still running 5, but I really like some of the 7 features - particularly the control panel. Also hoping it will help battery life.

I think these are your "Favorites" - go to your Bookmarks and look in the Favorites folder and I think you can delete them from there.

Not favourites. :)

This is what it looks like:ImageUploadedByAustFreqFly1379648529.509999.jpg

I've just checked favourites folder and it's empty.

I just think whole iOS 7.0 appearance it looks so 'bland' and 'washed out' - but the ability to scroll across apps and close apps with simple 'flick' is great enhancement - in general it might grow on me - will wait and see.

Yes these 4 icons are indeed listed in 'Favourites' - so just edit 'Favourites' and you can delete them.

Was reading something that suggested the 5C wasn't designed to be low-cost, it just happened to be lower cost than the 5S, so for all the haters out there that go on about how it isn't cheap, I'm sure they're not actually aiming for cheap ;)

I'm not in the market... the fingerprint thing looks cool, as I'm one of those that doesn't use a passcode as it's coughbersome and people can see you enter it anyway... so perhaps next year, when the 5C inherits features of the 5S and the 5S finds some other gimmick and becomes the 6, I'd be interested in a C version. Always enjoyed my 3Gs.

That said, also not sure I'll stick with iOS, I'm not blinded by Apple's light and can switch, but I'm content with what I have now, it works for me and I'm competent on my phone. I hardly see the point in changing to become less competent on my phone, when everything is working. When things stop working, we'll see what's on the market.

As for iOS7, been using it for a few weeks now and it really grows on you. Much better than iOS6, though it is a little less polished... every so often my device restarts, probably have too many apps running, but it never happened in iOS6. They'll polish it up over the coming months I'm sure.

My Partner got a 5C 32GB today.

She liked the feel of the 5C over the 5S.

Cost was not a issue as both phones where very close to included in the cost of the plan.

Nope. Favorites is empty.

Really? Damn? We just deleted these Favourites on 2 diff iPhone 5's here - got rid of those icons in Safari on both phones - go figure.

Try adding them to Favourites and then delete - who knows.

The best thing I've noticed about ios7 is the control centre. Now switching onto flight mode doesn't require unlocking and navigating into settings. And the emergency call button isn't so close to the keypad which means I'm not likely to hit it when entering my passcode.

Ohh. Favs was empty then I closed the app and now they are there. Well, until I deleted them! Thank you!

Anybody else noticed how fussy iOS7 is with charging cables? If they aint' genuine Apple - they aint workin - damn it!
