Checkout the cleanliness and upkeep Of the rooms - and this was apparently an upgrade room for our weeklong stay:

I’ve emailed accor Customer care with a complaint.

That’s bad!

Only comment is about the water marks in the bathtub. A place I lived in once had the same… it’s just poor design with a slight depression that pools the water :( Impossible to get out, even with bleach overnight.

Understood. But I paid for a walk-in shower…

Light scrub with gumption will definitely fix that

Did you ask for another room? It was a week-long stay.
Yes. They said they were full.

I might add i’m a gold member and Accor plus explorer member.

Accor and handing it. If they don’t do the right thing I can always try a chargeback

Yes. They said they were full.

OK.

But if you are still there, over a week-long stay, a room change should be possible.

I've stayed at that hotel many times. Their rooms are all over the place as far as fit-out, lay-out and renovation is concerned.

IME, the hotel would try to make amends.

As you would know, it really more of a Motel than a Hotel.

This was my first stay at this property . The listing was somewhat misleading. They had a lot of school Students there… bus loads of them, that was another thing. The noise!!!
I’ve stayed at ibis styles at London Heathrow and in the USA. The previous stays were great. Very high quality actually. This was waaaay at the other end of the spectrum.

So, if still there, considering it's a week-long stay, ask for a change of rooms.

I do this all the time, even at 5-star hotels, if the room is sub-par or is noisy from other guests.
