ANZ Rewards Travel Adventure Card

I was just on hold when I started having a look at this thread. 10 mins in, sounds like it might be a while. Will report back how long it takes.

Fortunately the NRL draw came out yesterday so I am planning to book when the Raiders are playing the Roosters in Perth.

My next meeting today is not until 3pm so I do have a bit of time. Looks like I am going to be working in my office with annoying hold music for the next couple of hours!!


Hmm just checking in with this thread too. Looks like a long hold is normal? Has everyonr left it to last minute? We had no issues last time calling before work so we could book spouse and mine via two seperate cards. But we've been on hold from 7am wast until noW It's nearly 9am and im still on hold. Couldnt wait any longer and im omw to work. No doubt as the train cuts through zones ill disconnect.

Im surprised there's such a high demand. We're over west so we had to wait for leave upon borders being opened... but though east coast members wouldve got it sorted.

It would be nice if they actually opened on this weekend just to finish processing the last demands before the cutoff....
 
Just got off phone. managed to book our flights! 2.5 hrs from calling. Lady said everyones calling. 176 people in queue at the time. Unless you have hours to hold i wouldn't bother calling now.

Thanks for updating. it is good there is an end even if it takes a long time. I am now up to 1 hour 41 mins.

They're open weekdays only. So today and monday are the last days. I suspect anyone leaving it to monday may potentially miss it. In our haste we chose our goto flight as the red eye to melb from perth. Kind of regretting now as it gets in after 5am. Likely too early to check in for any hotel. Should have taken the 6am flight and gotten in closer to lunch...

Oh well guess we didnt have the luxury to think it through and just wanted to book before we got cut off.
 
Have just cracked the 2.5 hours.

Got the operator at about 2hrs 31mins. Process finished after 2hrs 40mins. Second flight for my partner booked on points online took 5 mins. Syd-Perth probably about $550 retail and it is the third year I have done it - first when Origin was there in 2019, NRL Nines in 2020 now Raiders v Roosters 2021.

Going to miss having this card. Has been a good benefit. Probably the only card where I have continued to pay the annual fee each year after the initial points bonus.

Lounge passes will be automatically sent out, they said they are sending thousands out. Will take 6+ weeks.

I also signed up for the triple points bonus on Virgin before I booked. Will be interesting to see if that works. In the past they say these free flights don't attract points or status credits but mine have.
 
Mrs RB was on hold for 3.5hrs-started around 12.30pm but got the booking we wanted.
 
Just got past the 3 hour mark, the hold music suddenly stopped, I had silence for about 30 seconds and then I was disconnected :-(
Guess I'll try again Monday morning.

yes I was told the same and I also said the same thing.
I said SYD lounge is now open, and she said that Virgin had not told them anything but will be sent out once Virgin gave the go ahead
Has the VA lounge in SYD opened yet? I wasn't aware of this.
 
Just over three hours on hold this afternoon before the call was at last answered.

I had just given the credit card number to the CSR, when the call went silent, and then disconnected. Aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!









Luckily she call back 5 minutes later and we were able to complete a return flight each off our 2 credit cards.

Oh wow - I was complaining about a 45 min wait yesterday morning!

Mind you the staff member was MADDENINGLY slow. Repeating every single detail of the flights at least 5 times. And using phonetic alphabet for literally everything, including checking my name spelling - and it's not a short name. So no wonder they can't get through all the calls.

Well at least my CSR was super-efficient ;)
 
Tried today and was on hold for an hour and a half before I needed to hang up for something. Now I'm worried I'll run out of time on Monday to book it 😬
 
Started about 4pm qld and was still on hold after 2.5 hours before having to leave, fingers crossed for Monday!
