Clearly its been a popular card with the general public, not just with AFF members. Bit of a shame to see it so badly devalued like this but I suspect the days of such generous offers on credit cards at this price point are behind us now.

Managed to book my flights after an hour hold. Had to move around flight dates as they tend to be either blocked out or sold out around the weekend/ public holiday times. You can check the availability on Virgin Aus website when searching for flights as the tickets are the ‘Getaway’ seats (cheapest option).

I’ll miss this card dearly, like many others it’s the only card I’ve been willing to pay the annual fee. I do also have a soft spot to the travel agents who despite the high volumes of call, have remained very helpful and patient. Hopefully even when this benefit is no longer here, they will still be here to help the ANZ customers one way or another.

In case anyone else is yet to book their flights, you can search on Expert Flyer for "T" class availability before calling as this is what the ANZ flight books into.

Bit of a hassle today but all booked now. On hold for 2 hours before my headphones accidentally hung up, called for another 2 hours before having to leave (Down the elevator so no chance to stay on). Figured i'd call one more time, on hold for an hour before my headphones hung up again, however this time they called back soon after and booked it in.

They tried calling earlier in the day too but i didn't recognise the number quickly enough before they stopped.

I had my ANZ complimentary flights booked for March this year which were cancelled because of covid. After a couple of calls, the last in October I was told I could rebook up until 31 July 2022 and complete travel by 30 June 2023. I was happy with that.

When I asked about lounge passes I was told to contact Virgin. I'll wait until I have domestic travel booked and call either ANZ or Virgin or both again about the passes.

I made a booking a month ago and was advided that lounge passes would be sent out when available. Have tried to contact them by phone 02 7922 0200 and email without success, got music on phone two days ago (waited 90 mins) and call failure this morning. Response to email was:-
"Travel Document" (itinerary@amadeus.com)
The recipient's mailbox is full and can't accept messages now. Please try resending your message later, or contact the recipient directly."

The amadeus email is almost certainly incorrect, as that company provides travel services to other companies. You should probably email ANZ, at an ANZ email.

Can I ask if anyone who requested their complimentary lounge passes around sept 2020 has received them? My card anniversary was end of sept hence I called in mid sept and was told the passes will be mailed (no mention then that they will only be sent when lounges reopen). I have not received them. I have since requested another two being in a new calendar but worry that the initial two i had requested have been lost. Would appreciate if anyone who have requested passes around Sept can confirm they had received them? I may have to call (and wait in a queue again) if they have been lost in post...

Data points , my partner have managed to make a return booking with ANZ last minute on 8th December 1 days past deadline , lady on the phone said they will send out lounge pass once the lounge re-open .

Did she say which VA lounges would need to open before the passes are sent out? The BNE lounge is already open, and SYD/MEL will open next week...

In my case ticket was SYD-MEL return on 26 FEB , hope they will send out lounge pass next week when SYD lounge open .

She did say that will send out pass when lounge open .

ANZ tells us that they've now started sending out requested Virgin Australia Lounge passes and that the remaining passes will be posted "in coming days".

Has anyone received their passes? Am traveling next week and had hoped to use them..
