Yes, its a new deal but there is a separate internet banking deal (see link earlier) which I was just approved for. That one has 75,000 rewards points and no annual fee.

Went to cancel, only had it since start of June. Was offered 15k to stay. Had to hold card another 90 days, no spend.

Hope they do the same when I ring to cancel the Qantas one.

I called on the weekend and got the overseas call center. Also cancelled, was offered nothing after they noted I already received my bonus points and cash back for the fee.

Just checked, points showed up on the 14th of August. :D

I signed up to the current deal a few weeks back (75k Qantas points, $200 cashback and only one transaction).

Approved 10th August, first transaction 16th August, bonus points posted yesterday (25th August) - talk about efficient!

Just called up to cancel the card. They offered 20000 ANZ points for me to keep the card since I didn't pay any annual fee. So I take this offer as it cost me nothing to hold the card. Fingers crossed that they deposit the points this month so I can do the 30% bonus transfer to Velocity.

i called to cancel but they only offered me 50% off annual fee.

what reason did you give to cancel?

Card received today...Free in documentation..

Very impressed so far!

After my initial issues with my app including having my card stopped for fraud and being accused of submitting a dodgy application.

I missed my payment date by a few days and got charged $300 interest.

Called up and asked nicely if it could be waived.
Waived on the spot.

Anz is imprrssing me

is this normal

both will work.

i read about this somewhere, its a security thing, so someone cant nick your bank statement and then go order stuff online.

With the devalued transfer rate from VA to KF miles from 1 Jan 2019, the ability to earn 0.75KF points per dollar (via VA) will be lost. There are very few cards that earn this amount on a Visa/MC.
This will drop to ~0.65 KF points per dollar when going via VA, lower than the direct to KF rate of ~0.67 points per dollar.
Even just to churn, 26.6k KF miles for $0 is not bad.
ANZ Rewards Black | ANZ

If you are lucky and there is an ANZ to VA transfer bonus, this could be something to wait for.
Nov 2018 - 30% bonus
May 2018 - 50% bonus
Nov 2017 - 30% bonus
May 2017 - 50% bonus

Bugger did not know Virgin link only thought Qantas! Doh doh

I checked the link, I think the deal is gone
Yes it has changed, the internet banking offer is now 75k bonus points and $100 back when you make one eligible purchase.
The public website offer is now 120k bonus points and $100 back when you spend $7500 in the first 3 months.

Notice the fine print:
"This is a limited time only offer which may be withdrawn or changed at any time without notice."

100k points, $100 credit, $375 annual fee, spend $4k in the first 3 months.

or:

75k points, $100 credit, $375 annual fee, make one eligible purchase in the first 3 months.

KF miles transfer at 3:1.
Minimum 1500 ANZ rewards points = 500 KF miles, in 1500 ANZ point increments.

Thanks, took option 2. Applied for a card in Aug, and bank with ANZ so thought it might be the only place thatll accept me with such a busy file.
