wow that is truly massive. 75,000.
easily spent with ATO payments as well.
doubt there's many people left here who haven't already got an ANZ FF black card though

75,000 QFF = 37,500 Velocity ???? I thought this card was 75,000 QFF points, I've just applied for it

12 months ? Curses, only closed my 50k ANZ cards a few months ago.

$7,500 in 3 months is a fairly high spend as well. I'd struggle to make that without some once-off big costs.

easy...Council rates coming up, pay through Australia Post and perhaps make a slip on the amount....damn...need to get a refund
prepay insurance etc

Just applied for Mr EMF and got this answer

"Your application has been referred.
Thank you for applying for an ANZ Frequent Flyer Black. Unfortunately, we are unable to give you a final answer to your credit card application at this time, as further processing is required."

This doesn't look too good does it?!

I got the same response, received a phone call the next day, asked for copies of tax assessment notices and proof of other income. Have not heard yet

What did you put as your income?
Am a salary earner on quite a decent wage, so probably pretty simple for them in my case. Don't really want to write here what I earn sorry... lets just say it is more than their $75K minimum income requirement

I had the black amex card with ANZ and cancelled it early this year. Has anyone had any luck applying for this card again and getting the bonus points? I know there's a 12 month limit before applying but just through maybe someone has had luck with this...

I just got the same. I'm hoping it's not because I just applied for an Amex last month. And I'm safely over the 75k income requirement.

I'm about to get some major dental done, so there's the 7.5k spend easily done. *curse dentists *

*Update: Checked my email this morning and I'm happy to report (and relieved!) the approval came through.

I will report back soon with hopefully good news. I did the 50k bonus two weeks ago and my wife did the 75k bonus last week. We were within 12 months of our last ANZ card applications , 50k bonus and card cancellations. We have done the minimum spends on both cards now, so just waiting for the bonus points to appear. Last time they took a few months. I don't think their systems are smart enough to work it out, but let's see...

Got approval and already received the cards! I only need one more lot of bonus points and then we'll have enough to fly the whole family back to Europe in J :)

Phone call to say APPROVED, cards arrived, activated but I have to front up at the ANZ to be IDENTIFIED...40km to drive and back, bit of a pain but worth it for the AMEX 1.5 points per dollar especially when linked with PAYPAL

I just had a look, it seems like the first year annual fee waiver had been removed.

So it's $425 for annual fee and $7500 spend in 3 months.

Anyone care to share the no annual fee for first year link?

I made in an in-branch application and was also referred for further document checks. Was told this usually happens for ANZ Black card applicants as its their highest tier of card with the highest income requirements.

Was also told there's no annual fee in the 1st year, but the $55 reward services fee would still be charged. I've since checked the T&C's and they say the $55 should be waived as well. Will have to bring it up with them!

So I've done this year so far - NAB offer - 50k, CBA offer 40K, and ANZ offer 50k in May.

I applied for the ANZ black with 75K and I have been approved and received the cards yesterday. I rang the credit card centre and said no where on the mailed paperwork did it talk about the no annual fee or the 75k points.

the guy on the phone checked my application and said i was entitled to the no annual fee and 75k offer after $7500 spend (which is easy as I throw $5k per month minimum on cards.) So I asked him to confirm that, he gave me his name, and he said he has made notes on their computer system re what I am being offerred, and gave me a call reference numbers, as I said I have had issues with banks standing by their offers in the past, so he said he noted it all down and its logged.

Now given I am an existing ANZ customer, with the card I got in May with 50k points, it will be interesting to see if they pony up on the 75k points on the new card come december/January. If they don't I will kick up a stink and see what happens.

At the end of the day, the card has cost me zero. the points earn if the same as or better than my existing cards (main card used i westpac QFF black) so Im not loosing if they dont Pony up. But I will take one for the team and try it out and see what happens. Wish me luck

as a side note, when i registered for internet banking I got a differring customer number, and it seems they have not linked my exiting account - I hope that means I might be on the track to score an extra set of points.

I am becomming such a points cough.

Sounds promising. Did you have to verify your ID? That may indicate whether they recognised you as a previous customer.

I called up. Had to enter the credit card number. When I got through to the operator, had to confirm my name, and my security word/password I set on the application. But like I said, the customer number I was given was a new and differring one from my existing one. When I log onto internet banking on my existing card, it does not show up with the new card. The new card shows up when I log on with the different cusatomer number.

Is this two cards on the one account? The Visa and the Amex? Does spending on either count to the $7,500 spend?
