Was just looking on ANZ to see what their latest offering was given that the last deal expired yesterday and found this:

Credit cards - Select from a range of credit card options | ANZ

Current deal seems to work when clicking on "Apply Now" link but clicking elsewhere on the card photo or "ANZ Frequent Flyer Black" link seems to take you to the old 50,000 deal which expired on 20 August 2015.

Terms and Conditions: Not available in conjunction with other offers, packages or promotions, or when transferring from an existing ANZ credit card or where you currently hold or have closed an ANZ Frequent Flyer, ANZ Frequent Flyer Gold, ANZ Frequent Flyer Platinum or ANZ Frequent Flyer Black credit card within the previous twelve months. This offer applies only once per eligible customer.

Equivalent offer also seems to be available for the ANZ Black Rewards Points - the 75,000 Rewards points would equate to 37,500 Velocity points or 25,000 Kris Flyer Miles.

The ANZ Black Rewards offer is "Not available in conjunction with other offers, packages or promotions, or when transferring from an existing ANZ credit card or where you currently hold or have closed an ANZ Rewards, ANZ Rewards Platinum or ANZ Rewards Black credit card within the previous twelve months. This offer applies only once per eligible customer."

wow that is truly massive. 75,000.
easily spent with ATO payments as well.
doubt there's many people left here who haven't already got an ANZ FF black card though

It's a shame their standard clause seems to be not holding a card for 12 months these days instead of the previous 6 months. Hopefully there's a similar offer from one of the other banks that I can take advantage of.

Indeed, I gave my card back but only 4 months ago.
Reminder to self: next time you get an ANZ card, slose as soon as you can to reduce the time needed until churn.

I think these latest offers may be somehow related to Comprehensive Credit Reporting about to hit us, when this does there may be even more offers but this may be a plan to lock people in before these hit.

12 months ? Curses, only closed my 50k ANZ cards a few months ago.

$7,500 in 3 months is a fairly high spend as well. I'd struggle to make that without some once-off big costs.

75k nice, I only just got the basic cc for the 50k offer, which I noticed has gone down to 25k points offer now. Looks like they are tiering their card offers this time. As soon as I get the points in, I'll cancel and start the 12 month timer

This is going to continue to be a problem for me until February 2016.

Interesting how they don't mention an expiry date:

1. Offer available to new and approved applicants who apply for an ANZ Frequent Flyer Black credit card account. This is a limited time only offer which may be withdrawn or changed at any time without notice.

Did the previous offers give a timeframe? I know other banks do/did.

The T&Cs for the Rewards Black seem to suggest that someone who had cancelled an an ANZ QFF card in the past 12 months could apply for the Rewards Black deal (so long as they haven't also held an ANZ rewards card in last 12 months).

I know 37,500 velocity points isn't as attractive as the 75000 QFF points but still better than nothing.

Has anyone had any luck doing this?

Bugger, I signed up to this 1 day before gong from 50K -> 75K Worth calling them up and kicking up a fuss that i missed out?

I would do that, but perhaps layout your 'argument' for fairness in an email from your account. The decision seems to have to come from 'marketing'.

Fairness, in a bank? I'd definitely ask but not sure Id use that argument, doubt it would carry much weight. The threat you might bag them on social media, now that might work!

I don't know how much water this will hold but talking to a CC specialist at ANZ on the phone the other day, he said I could even apply for an ANZ black rewards card (not a QFF one) while my old ANZ QFF card was still open or cancel it and then apply.

I had the same thing - was advised that the ANZ Rewards and ANZ QFF cards are considered separate - look at the T&Cs. They don't say anything about holding one type in the last 12 months making you ineligible for the bonus when applying for the other type.

Applied Monday and got cards yesterday.
they're quick aren't they? nothing like the smell of new plastic.
if anyone's interested i tried asking for 75,000 points instead of the 50,000 bonus given the 1 day discrepancy in application. They refused - no given reason either. Going to have try again!

Do payments to the ATO count towards the $7,500? The T&Cs have some vague wording about "cash equivalent transactions."

Just applied now and was accepted. Hadn't done the ANZ one before, so the offer is good timing. The $7500 spend should be pretty simple with costs I have over coming 3 months. Application process seemed ridiculously simple not wanting to see a payslip or anything

What did you put as your income?
