ANZ Qantas Bonus Points for Aust Qantas only NOT international Qantas purchases

I purchased 3 airline tickets
1 SYD to CHC and received Q bonus points
2 CHC to SYD and received no bonus points pushed from the Oz site to NZ Site
3 upgrade CHC to SYD and received no bonus points

Purchases at any ANZ Bonus Partner within Australia will attract Bonus Points. However, this does not apply for the same merchants overseas. Qantas international flights purchased over the internet must be purchased from the Qantas Australia website to be eligible for ANZ Frequent Flyer Bonus Points.

I have an ANZ Black card to the BP's are valuable to me
Has anyone else had this issue or is this a recent enhancement. Any comments would be appreciated

Airlines such as Qantas will generally ticket and charge based on the country of origin for the ticket. As your ticket originated in NZ, they will do the transaction through NZ.

If you booked it as a return SYD-CHC-SYD it would all have been done in Australia.

Qantas has worked like this for as long as i can remember,
