ANZ makes it harder to access sign-up bonus points

ANZ has outsourced all credit applications to a call centre in Bangalore. They claim to directly employ the staff… but who knows. Unless you’re very black and white, it often goes into the too hard basket for them.

My payslips tend to be complicated (overtime, allowances, novated lease etc) and ANZ was always a struggle. You can tell that after a while they just hit “decline” as it’s too hard for them to get their heads around.

I have heard things like "customer credit score is too low" or "we are not satisfied that customer would qualify for this credit limit" etc ... worst is when the credit score is high 900s and there are other substantial loans under that customer's name. Or the best is "we don't believe the customer has the means to pay for/hold this credit"

Yep heard the same. I was on over 300K without even a mortgage and they still couldn’t figure it out
