Nice one Dr Ralph, got approval 22nd of April, haven't came across a fee free offer for some time..
This is an example of a Sponsored Post, one of the many ways you can advertise on the Australian Frequent Flyer.
Other options include banner advertisements on our content and forum pages or our newsletter. You can also purchase an audio message on our podcast - or if you just want to try it out, you can sponsor a thread.
If you'd prefer not to see any advertisements (including these sponsored posts), you can become an AFF Supporter from just $6 and instantly remove all advertisements from our website!
They should extend the offer for all us VA orphans that need a new card!
In the T&Cs:
"For ANZ Frequent Flyer Platinum, a Total Annual Fee of $295 applies which includes a $240 Annual Account Fee and a $55 Rewards Program Services Fee."
75k points for $55 would still be the best deal out there I can see at the moment.

Your prompt reply gratefully appreciated. The link in the first post still works. And yes it’s $55 for you to actually get your points into your Qantas account. Once you’ve done the required spend and you have the points it’s quite a good idea just to cancel the card.
Hi,
Is the original offer
ANZ Frequent Flyer Platinum: 75,000 QFF points. $0 fee
still available ?
Does your comment '75k points for $55' mean that it is available but the $55 Rewards Program Services Fee needs to be paid in the 1st year ?
Please excuse my ignorance. Regards, John
I don't believe the original offer is still available. It looks like a similar but slightly worse deal at the same link. From the t&cs yes you must pay the $55 in the first year.
