ANZ ATM card in USA

Is there a specific bank I should look out for when using an ANZ ATM card in the USA?

Believe it or not, I have never used an ATM overseas!

Is it similar to here where you have to select your account (Cheque or Savings) etc?

Process of using is the same, some ask the same questions in different order but same same
No idea what is best, Anything with a "Maestro" or "Cirrus" logo should get you out of trouble, but charges can be different and i guess thats the main reason your asking the question.

My ANZ account the charge is more often than not $5 per transaction, hence the reason i take larger amounts our and not that often.

As posted yesterday, get yourself a Wizard Clear Advanatege Mastercard. It takes about 1 week for your card to arrive. This card has NO fees.

ANZ cards have fees which include $5 ATM O/S access fee, 2½% currency conversion fee etc.

Whack you $$$ 's in to your Wizard card before you go there and use it at any ATM with the Mastercard or Cirrus Logo.

The Wizard clear converts O/S withdrawals at Market rates. (Generally within ½% of the rates shown on XE.com.)

If you intend using your ANZ card make sure you notify ANZ that you will have o/s transactions, and between what dates, and then go to an ATM and test it with say a $20 withdrawal to see that your pin actually works.
