I am flying BNE - Europe in July and looking for someone to create a fare for me. I have ~200k QF points but the girlfriend doesn't.

Happy with split fares but looking for J preferably with OW.

Happy to compensate someone if I go with their fare.

I think 200k is kind of the awkward zone where you won't have enough for return, so you would have to book a one way cash fare somewhere, at which point it may even be cheaper to book it all cash.

I'm planning on just buying the whole fare, unless I can get a one-way BNE-SIN in J or something.

So the request really is for someone to build a cheap cash fare for me...

Just punch any date in July into Matrix for something like 10 days duration. Adjust all the search other parameters. Review the fare rules to determine suitability.

Yeah I found the EK ones, but now I've discovered I get no QF status credits even in J

This is good advice in normal times, but atm you cant transit SIN unless on one ticket, so that is a no go with covid uncertainty right now

I wasn’t suggesting a transit. OP can use it as a stopover in both directions.

If they have sufficient leave/time to do so and are prepared for the extra costs for accommodation and testing. I read the OP as wanting to spend their holiday in EU.

Me too, but compared with the exorbitant prices ex-Australia the Singapore stopover is very cheap and may be far more viable for the OP.

So we can enter Singapore as a destination but not to transit? That seems an odd restriction. I don't mind spending a night there in one direction, but I'd rather just use it as a transit on at least one leg.

You can transit when both flights are VTL and on the one booking, but if you do scoot to SIN then EK to EU wouldn't be on the one booking.

On VTL flight you have to wait in a holding pen not a nice lounge until your next flight boards.

Im not sure if there are minimum stay requirements for stop overs at the moment, if it were easy to spend one night more people would be doing it.

There are other threads re visiting SIN atm, I suggest you have a read.

For Greece, neither EK or TK are currently suitable. Greece and UAE are not VTL countries so they cannot enter Singapore on the return which is a problem if you are going to suggest separate tickets and stopovers in both directions.

They have changed! (ART = RAT and will be SGD15)

We have just booked our trip to SIN in May.Hopefully a RAT at most by then. Just possibly will fit in BKK as well. So thanks for all this info. I booked too for May Singapore Airlines F seat on my birthday from Melbourne so pretty happy with that

So from that I could fly into Singapore from Australia, and then on the way back into Singapore from Rome via Dubai. We are going to Greece but as long as that is on the way there then looks fine!

I've seen Qatar offer cheaper Business reward seats (including any required QF domestic) on the QF booking engine - but I've seen one leg as cheap as 130k I think (not sure how points-cheap it can get) so a bit difficult to get two one way for about 200k.

Qatar also offers Business lite fares - without lounge benefit, so if you already have lounge access, a Business lite fare can work in getting a slightly cheaper fare.

A possible downside is how you and your girlfriend felt about reported Qatar female body searches that happened recently. But you could also take a contrary view that the media exposure will mean it probably won't happen again.

No status. My last remaining status died with covid.

Flying in J is the priority, followed by QF status credits, followed by lounge access. The EK fares would be perfect except for the lack of status credits.
