Now if anyone in the past had told me I would be prone to harm from too much exercise I would have died laughing.
So I am not as crazy as some people think?

Dr google found this:
[Etiology and therapy of the internal jugular vein thrombosis]. - PubMed - NCBI
DVT from immobility tend to occur in dependant areas such as legs. Yours medicos might suggest looking elsewhere for a cause for jugular vein thrombosis.
Pushka it happens and I posted that I carry DVT medication in my carry on bag. Never had to use it nor the anginine but I have it just in case. I just update it so the medication is within its use by date.
You can beat adversity so never give up. I am now 21 years past a heart bypass operation and I listen to my GP and cardiologist. Forget Doctor Google is the way to go.
Our family are covered with Chubb thru our insurance brokers. My doctors say I am ok to fly.
My friend had a problem in New York so he flew to London and checked into a hospital there as we have a reciprical agreement to get charged zero.
Yep. I think by May assuming tests are clear I will be fine to fly. But maybe 20 hours is pushing it. I'll find out Tuesday if the Insurers will cover me. I expect they wont. So the big celebration birthday will need to be in Australia. Thats me protecting myself from disappointment. I hope I am wrong. Deep down I think not.
I think the period of travel need to be within the period of insurance. Rather than the date of advance payment. I am unclear what happens if date of payment falls within existing period of unconditional insurance.I think they will cover me for the cancellation costs, but not if we are cleared to travel by the Drs for related medical expenses if I did travel. Which raises an interesting conundrum - if Drs are fine with me travelling but we decide not to because the insurers wont cover me if I do - will they pay for the prepaid losses?
I did a dummy test on their 'special' site and it seems that there needs to be a 2 year gap between treatment and travel.

within first 2 years after the last treatment of a non exempt medical condition you can get insurance but generally I think excludes cover for existing medical condition. However what happens if your condition requires treatment maybe lifelong?

Also, forgot.: best of luck with all the tests Pushka! Not sure how much of Aus you have seen, but maybe a local trip could still be on the cards as a (not the same) replacement?
Not worth the risk. Travel can wait until you get better.Just heard back from the Insurance and because it wasn't pre-existing then they will cover me overseas. So will need to be a Doctors call. BUT - now, I am actually a little worried to travel. Go figure, as they say.
