Hi
I am going from YVR to LAX, departing 2.12pm. I was planning on visiting the CX lounge but then I remembered that in YVR you pass through the USA immigration to get to AA departures. Can I get into the location of CX lounge or is the security set up to keep these areas separate?

Is there any Oneworld lounge on the USA side in YVR airport? I cant even remember if there are any decent coffee shops/ food outlets on USA side of immigration. Do I need to try and smuggle food across the border to eat before the flight?

No one world lounges. There is a priority pass lounge which I was able to access with my AMEX plat CC. You can buy entry if desperate but I wouldn't bother. Food is simple. A couple of hot options and sandwiches plus soup. Usual drink options. I'd prefer stretching my legs and if desperate get something from Hortons or the Japanese place next to it. If really desperate there's also a Starbucks and a grill place near Burger King.

+1 for the priority lounge being OK but not great - I have complimentary PP through a Mastercard that I managed to get fee free

No oneworld lounge but the terminal itself isn't too bad. Security / US CBP can take a while....
