Hi, my very lucky son is flying to Singapore to meet me there on his birthday in a couple of weeks... His dad will drop him at the airport in Sydney and I will pick him up in Singapore... I fly in from FRA at 6pm and he is on QF31 arriving at 10.10pm

Its the first time he has flown by himself, although he has sat two rows in front of me once due to a full flight and was fine, so I think he will be OK, but is there anything I should know or be aware of? I am guessing there is no point doing seat selection etc, as the hosties will put him where they think best anyway?

He is SO excited, I hope he goes well on the flight!

How old is he? 12 is cut off age (if it hasn't changed)

I had flown as a UM before with BR. They always had someone escort me everywhere. And the FA kept checking up on me during the flight too.
