Any one else noticing Velocity rewards missing from Aeroplan?
can’t find a single velocity flight anywere.

I assume you're referring to Virgin Australia flights not showing when booking with Aeroplan points? Or do you mean that Air Canada flights aren't appearing for Velocity reward bookings?

(Velocity is the name of Virgin Australia's loyalty program, so I'm slightly confused.)

Yeah I don't see any Virgin Australia availability on Aeroplan points. I do sometimes see AC flights available in Velocity but not the other way around.

Could it be decreased VA availability overall? (I recall OMAAT saying they could only book one business reward at a time, as VA were throttling availability).

I don’t believe so. Can’t find even a single economy seat Bne to Syd for example. Even months out. Seems like an IT issue to me.

As i mentioned… exact same thing in the singapore airlines website… not a single economy or business VA award. Some sort of glitch maybe?

I was going to talk about it too few months ago. How come there was no using points to get "free flight". My plan is to use up all the points and then cancel my aeroplan membership. I have seen about Aeroplan star alliance credit card and everything and feel that it doesn't suit me.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Aeroplan updated its website about 5-6 weeks ago, and after that upgrade was complete I stopped seeing VA award on Aeroplan.

I think the only way to book is ring Aeroplan desk and explain the situation.

I haven't tried yet, but I have a trip next month that I'd like to book so I will try my luck with their call centre.
I'll explain we can't book this award, so hopefully they'll waive their CAD30 booking fee.

My understanding is that they won't waive the fee even if you can't book online, but I could be wrong. Please let us know how you go.

Yes I believe I read that specifically in their terms and conditions that they won’t wave the fee. But very curious to hear what they say.

This may be slightly off topic But I have aeroplan points that are due to expire and due to various reasons I will not be able to travel OS for a period of time & am looking for a way to use these points in Australia. TIA
