Does anyone know - as of today (I know we can't predict the future); any airlines still flying to Australia after 26/3? I can see I can still book Emirates and AA (even though LAX-SYD is supposed to be suspended till May) - my partner is in the US at the moment and she can't really come back till the week after.

And still, they come... Just look at flightradar24 or similar app
Immediate Edit: sorry, didn't read your"after 26th"

I think only accurate way to find out is through individual airline websites. I was checking earlier this week on Google flights and it was showing flights as being available on Hawaiian even though they had been suspended on the Hawaiian website. However I have seen flights available to Australia out of the west coast that go via Japan. Not sure if those fights are still available but the cost was outrageously expensive.

Not sure if you can buy them, but on Expert Flyer I can see VA 2, LAX-SYD is still operating on 27/28 Mar, and UA still seems to be operating SFO-SYD. Not sure if that will last.

Many thanks for this - may look at the SFO-SYD with UA as she has a UA credit now since all the internal flights have been cancelled. Hopefully will still be there till end of March.

I saw a QF 747 headed to JNB today..I thought they were all cancelled.

Sorry this has now changed. Looks like final SFO-SYD service will be on 26 March:

A mate’s wife is unable to be deterred from her trip ‘back home’ to Turkey mid April, can’t recall whether it’s Etihad or Qatar but her flight’s theoretically still on. Or was when I spoke to him Friday.

With Singapore banning transit passengers you would think that there would be further SQ cutbacks announced in the coming days

Yes. But I hope they will maintain a bare bones service. I was not planning to come back to Australia from Singapore, due to mixing with transit passengers. Now I am comfortable to do so once the new bans come into effect, although I suspect nearly all, if not all, flights will be axed once it comes into force.

Without knowing the numbers but I’d assume a large % of SQ’s flights rely on transit passengers so SQ will be grounding a huge part of its fleet. Luckily they have the state to look after them

UA re-instated the SFO-SYD flights going forward - so this might be your best bet.
Yes, seems like they will run through April and May.

I think it's a good move to have at least one flight. I know we need to have really oppressive restrictions in place but people will need to move around still if they accept the risk for family support reasons. It's going to be a dark, dark few months ahead.

With everything shutting, she's flying back tonight CHL-LAX-BNE. The UA option would have been CHL-IAH-SFO-SYD-BNE. We were looking at the DXB option via JFK - I am glad she decided against it as she would have be stranded with no flights after Wednesday.

Hmm after hearing that the US may end the lockdown for economic reasons, we are concerned enough we think it might be prudent to shut up shop here and relocate back to Australia on a permanent basis. However, our fear is if we don't make it happen in the next couple of weeks we could be stuck here. I'm wondering what the loads are like on that United flight because if they cancel there will be no other option for getting out.

Mum was thinking of one final trip to Greece this year. That is now not possible. She'll be close to 78 around August/September next year and may not be able to travel due to health and taking care of dad.
