Hi All,

I'm looking at purchasing indonesia-JFK return from cathaypacific.com in J. The flights from either DPS or CGK come in at about 5500 AI. I would get there from PER with a jetstar cheapish return fare.

To me it seems like a very reasonable way of getting business return to east coast USA while sticking with oneworld. Slumming it PER-DPS/CGK seems like a minor inconvenience... BUT.... my question is; is it as easy as it seems?

Has anyone done this before? I would allow at least a few hours/maybe most of the day for connections. I'm leaning to DPS as there are many more flights to and from PER so less issues with mis-connects.

Also it seems the ticket will be an e-ticket issued online so no need to deal with the local CX office and simple online payment....

Any thoughts much appreciated, or other suggestions...?

Thanks,

jakob.

I have booked CX ex TPE and ex BKK but not from Indonesia.

Both those examples indicated I must present the CC used to pay for the flights at check-in. So I made sure I had the CC handy.

I was never actually asked for the card, although I mainly did online check-in.
