Any events in Canberra?

It was a great night. And rather than being too old, it's more like too cold to be up this early in Canberra today. :)

The CBR crowd are very quiet this morning. Did they have a big night out? Or not yet bailed out? Or too old to be up this early? ;)

Let's hope they all had a great time and will tell us about it soon.

The joys of MEL weather, some of us have been up since the wee small hours (well 6.30am), had a walk and done the shopping already. :D

I was sound asleep at 6:30am.

Thanks AFFers/FTers straitman, *A Flyer, dylwah, FreqwentFlya, harvyk, Kiwi, RG1, Skyring and SQ421 for a most enjoyable night. There was lots of Frequent Flyer discussion and good company.

I had fun and learned lots.

Thanks go to SQ421 for educating me on the merits of a DONE5 ex JNB. Now I'm trying to convince the +1 to let me go.

Thanks also from me for last night. Good fun and a good number for one days notice. Nine for dinner and a few more for drinks.
I'm back home again now after my six hour drive with low cloud and/or fog till south of Cooma. (Sunny in Victoria)

You will have to 'politely advise' your wife that many 'normal' wives are seen at AFF and FT get togethers and DOs.

And don't forget about the normal husbands ;).
My +1 always enjoys catching up with all the other +1s!

I broached the subject again today and her attitude has mellowed somewhat so you never know. I have started the conversation about a JQ Flounge run later in the year once my WP comes up in late July... Not to say she's totally with me but she is a good sport.

Glad you guys had a good night.

I would have come if I wasn't already busy that night.

LOL, my hit rate for attending events is on the improve, although one can't always control an employer's whim...:(

Would anyone like to have a drink or dinner sometime this week?

Will be in Canberra from next Saturday for 3 days. Happy to have drink and/or dinner. Otherwise any suggestions for dining in Canberra?

Just got back last night from SYD and Sat the VA AGM in BrisVegas. Possibly travelling to SYD Friday night and don't think will be free until about 7.30 on Thursday night. Can be back in CBR at 6pm Sun night if that night has potential for people.

How about a drink at the Rydges Lakeside bar tomorrow night for those in town?
