We've been travelling for 10 weeks and are on the way home tomorrow. But we could only get Premium Economy on Virgin points, so want to book a PAYG lounge, since our flight Singapore to Melbourne leaves at 0145. on 16/7, and the problem is compounded because we can only leave luggage at our hotel until 6pm tomorrow (15/7).
Any suggestions for the best lounge to use?
I've looked at Changi's own and Priority Pass, but have never had to use a paid lounge before, so not sure.
Any thoughts would be a help, thanks.

Why a lounge?
There is much to do and sample at Changi/jewel without ever needing a lounge.

There are luggage storage at Changi
If you want to check in later...

SQ also allows early check up to 24 hrs before the flight. Useful in if no need to retrieve anything from the luggage before the flight.

As for lounges, I can’t say I’ve been in any that are standouts. Probably worth finding a few reviews and seeing what is relevant to you. None are wonderful and none are woeful. There are also heaps of food options airside (Singapore Food Street some of the cheapest airside food anywhere - at least in developed countries , and there are some hidden areas along the windows in T3 that have lounge like seating.

Singapore is well known for being an airport that is an attraction rather than just a departure point. As already mentioned take advantage of early check in, then before going through immigration, have a look at visiting the staff canteen for some local delights at very good prices:

The Changi Airport staff canteens are "hidden" food courts located in the public zones before immigration, serving affordable local hawker meals to both workers and the public. The most popular locations are:

Terminal 1 (Orchis Food Court): Located in the basement (B1). Take the lift down from the Departure Hall near check-in row 13 or follow the signs from the arrival hall. It typically operates from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM and features over 25 stalls.

Terminal 2 (Foodies' Clan): Located on Level 3M above Carpark 2A. Access it by taking the lift or stairs near the Starbucks on Level 2 or the carpark elevators. It is open 24 hours. Meals typically range from S4 to S8, making it a highly popular layover hack for budget-conscious travelers. Anyone can enter; no staff badge or uniform is required.
