A FORMER fisherman turned mining magnate has decided to revive the Ansett brand but this time the well-known airline moniker will be the name of a resources company.
Queensland entrepreneur and airline enthusiast Terry Byrt has announced plans to list Ansett Mining Corporation on the Australian Stock Exchange early next year.
"Ansett Airlines was an iconic Australian company and, as an unabashed Ansett tragic, I would love nothing more than seeing the Ansett name back on the ASX in a positive manner," Mr Byrt said.
