Another Upgrade points bargain(?!) from qantas

Just booking flights from ADL to ASP and have been offered the following amazing upgrade offer from QF. It works out at 472.4 points per minute, 28 346 points per hour or around 77 per kilometre, which seems a little excessive. Using this algorithm it would cost either 481882 or 1301069 points for a Y to J upgrade on QF 9. So I won't be doing that.

It's not a targeted upgrade just to you, it's just what it would normally be for a J class ticket.
It's just the normal points + pay option into a business class airfare. Nothing new here.

Hmm, thx for that. After 18 years of QF platinum I'm grateful for the tutorial. I hope others also learned something...
