At midday yesterday I got my itinerary emailed from the QF website (only because I wanted a copy without coffee stains) – trip was booked months ago.
Then overnight I got notice of a time change to an IB flight earlier in the trip. So while looking up the details online I did a quick check of the other flights' details (force of habit for me - I'm pedantic) against the emailed itinerary.

The IB flight was the only one flagged as changed but I noticed that there was a 40 minute difference in the departure time for QF94 (LAX - MEL) for 18th May between what the web site was displaying and what the itinerary printout from yesterday showed.

On checking, I found that 23.30 was the original departure but it was changed a couple of months ago to 22.50. So why is QF still sending me an itinerary yesterday with the wrong departure time, months after it was changed, which could have seen us arrive 40 mins late at LAX?

I think I can guess who QF would have blamed if we did arrive too late to get the flight!

The Email Itinerary function generally seems to be broken - if you make a change then resend it (either the same day or weeks later) you get your original flight e-ticket sent

Hear what you're saying yohy?! but 2 points 1. I didn't make any changes and 2. there had been several minor changes to the times of some other flights over the last few weeks but only QF94 is showing an incorrect departure time in the emailed itinerary.

No worse than QF.com thinking that $6,100 per person is considered a reasonable price for a codeshare on AA from JFK-MIA-DFW in Y...

I nearly fell off my chair laughing when I saw that.

Yes, I too have noticed this problem, which is annoying. For a paper record of the changed flight details I simply print directly from the Qantas MMB webpage.

My QF IT fail story for today is that I was looking for the points calculator that tells you how many points an award ticket costs. I started typing in the search box on the home page and got 2 options - "points calcualtor" or "points calculater", but no option for the correct spelling. Then when I asked the points calculator how many points to fly in F from SYD to LAX I got the response that there is no F on that route

It just doesn't create a good corporate impression when the website is so amateurish.

Wonder if Qantas is using the same IT vendor that my company does?

On a document I'm reviewing this morning are these two clangers - 'IP-Telephoney' and 'submition'. The red spell check squiggle under both words not raising a flag to them... Phoney! How appropriate.

I think the issue is with the way SLI does their search recommendations. They just use whatever has been typed before. You should blame the general public and the AU education system ;)
