I have come across another newish forum called travellr which seems to be generating a bit of interest - it's based on sharing travel advice in a Q&A format.

Mmmmmm!

16 members and only 5 of those (incl admin) have posted a total of 47posts:!:

They have to start somewhere. I guess someone had an itch to scratch about a missing service in the market.

Oops - A part of my past catching up with me! I did some work in open source once and basically if someone wanted something but couldn't find it, we called it an itch and if they wrote some feature etc we said they were scratching the itch!

Not me - whoever started that website seems to have thought there was something not being provided by existing websites. Time will tell if they were right and there is enough interest in what they provide.

This site tends to be more focussed on loyalty schemes. There is some travel related material, but this is more a sideline.

Hey Muriel

Thanks for spotting us!

We're working hard to build Travellr (dot com) as a free service that can provide relevant, timely answers to travel questions using the knowledge of locals and past-visitors.

We're based in Sydney - feel free to email me any comments or suggestions to [email protected]!

Cheers!

Hi

I don't know the user who mentioned us in any way - I came across this discussion through Google alerts. I'm always interested to learn how people are using our service and provide the opportunity for feedback.

Cheers,
Ian
