While it may be 30% off I don't think that is a TID policy and at $560 after the 30% it is way above what I paid via the TID site and is also more than full price there..ie just looked and 12 months was $354!!!!

I cannot recall seeing a 30% promo code for TD.

TIDESCAPE may be a current 10% code...as may beTIDXMAS2009.

TID uses Allianz "This is your quote for Single cover for Worldwide (Covers you everywhere)." just emailed to find out if spouse is covered in their price. If so this is a good deal.

TID annual travel insurance policy covers spouse and children. When I went on a RTW trip with my father last year if the policy was purchased in his name I would have been covered but he is not covered if the policy was in my name.

I wanted an annual policy anyway for my regular SYD-BNE trips and some overseas trips so I got him separate travel insurance from TID for the 5 weeks.

I think TID covers spouse if travelling together but I don't think that they would grant an extension over 90 days (business travel) out of Australia. Maybe worth asking...

I don't think this is quite correct, JohnK. Yesterday I spoke to TID, who told me that children were covered if they were dependent (and I sense that you are not dependent upon your father, as your profile suggests that you are an IT consultant and developer, for which I presume you get paid!!)
Another interesting thing I discovered was that grand-children travelling with you are also covered, so long as you call TID before the trip and name them. Good thing to know for old buggers like me with grand-children (13 in my case!!).

Funny thing is that was the consultant's words not mine. Shows you how much consultant's actually know.

Also I am totally dependent on my parents. Does that make me a dependent?

I don't believe insurance companies use the same interpretation of dependent!
