Well, what a fiasco. Been up here for a short conference and flew up on Sunday. Received phone call Sunday morning advising me the JQ MEL-OOLflight had been cancelled. Moved onto later flight. No problem. Arrive at airport - flight had not been cancelled.
Now it's Tuesday. Booked on 1615 back to Melbourne. Arrive at airport. Flight cancelled. Have conversation with CSA. They left a message telling me to call 13xx_x. No, that was sunday. Reads log file further - rang this morning at 1030. Check phone - one missed call from withheld at 1030. No message left. Flight was apparently cancelled two days ago.
So here I am at the QC, waitlisted for a flight in three hours, booked on one in 4.5hrs.
I do understand LCCs need to make changes to schedules. But is it too much to ask for a phone message or even an email?
