Sometimes I need to pay more attention.
Currently on trip to Tokyo, ex-SIN. Unfortunately by the time approval for trip came through, flights on SQ had jumped from being $200 more than NH to being $1000 more, so could not fly SQ
Now I could have at a stretch justified flying JL, as they were only $50 more (with an approval) but settled for NH, thinking that they would be OK with 77W out and 787 on the way back. However when I went to allocate seats on the weekend, I noticed my overnight flight from HND-SIN (7 hrs) is in a regionally configured 787. This is on a cradle seat that looks inferior to the old dreamtime seat QF used to fly around and the old SQ recliners that now only appear on BKK and MNL flights.
Thinking on trying to somehow get out on the 6pm from NRT instead. Anyone flown them who can reassure me they are not as bad as they look? Will never complain about SQ regional J (angled lie flat) again!
