Is anyone having issues with the small shop offer? It seems that my offer showing up as redeemed after first use and as a result my second and third transaction not getting a $10 rebate!!

All of mine have been posting ok, how long since the 2nd and 3rd spends?
Did you get a notification? (Not a necessity but curious)
Were the shops definitely on the shop small map?

I may be misunderstanding you, but you do realise that the offer is once per merchant per card?

yes i realised have to spent at different merchant.. i hope i'm wrong since no one else here seems having the problem.. let see tomorrow if the $10 rebate hit the account as i didn't get the email even though the shop is on the small shop list.. thanks

Posting time of credits has been variable for me. Some take a day or so longer than others. Some spends have produced emails, other haven't. I wouldn't worry too much.

For those who might want to top up opal 20$ and get back $10 in Sydney, found 2 places during my travels. Health Advice pharmac_ in 136 Coxs Road north ryde, no surcharge and watsons bay milk bar, 10 military road. 1,5% surcharge

There's no need to worry if you don't get an email.

I get emails about 50% of the time and cashback 100% of the time.

My 2¢ worth, as a south-side Canberran.....

Chisholm Newsagency doesn't appear to be on the Shop Small map these days, but a $20 MyWay card topup still got me a congrats e-mail and a subsequent $10 statement credit a few days later. I'm not a regular bus user, otherwise I'd be back down there with my remaining stack of Amex cards.

Lenards Chicken in Tuggeranong bills as Varlow Enterprises, and was once again good for some statement credits.

I noticed that Tuggeranong Veterinary Hospital (in Fadden) was on the Shop Small map when I looked a week or two ago, which I thought was odd, since we've been clients of theirs for years and I've never known them to accept Amex. By the time I had reason to go there for something earlier this week they were no longer on the Shop Small map. Had they been, I would've given Amex a call, but I suspect that someone has already done that.

I haven't had my monthly meet-up and dinner at the Canberra Southern Cross Club in Woden yet, but that'll be another opportunity for a $10 statement credit, less the Amex surcharge that they levy.

As I've mentioned during past Shop Smalls, The Baa Moo restaurant in the Tuggeranong Vikings Club bills as Dally Pty Ltd, miles away in Mount Hunter, NSW, and has always been good for Shop Small statement credits.

And of course, we have the Kingston Hotel AFF meet-up coming up on Wednesday night.

Was driving past the Kingo so got a $20 gift voucher as my self cook BBQ steak will only be $12.50.

I will also try for some dry cleaning gift vouchers too. If you are out Majura way, try 3 Mills Bakery / coffee / lunch. They are happy and fast to do gift vouchers (they are used to me now). They just put it all on one voucher across the cards.

Edit: I have also found out the hard way that chain-type franchise stores don't seem to get the credit. They weren't on the map but thought I'd try anyway (a coffee club franchise near my place of work).

I have now had 4 fails with listed businesses either not taking Amex at all (2) or no refund forthcoming (2). I cannot find any contact details, does anyone have an email or address I can complain to ?

when they are listed on the website and they dont take amex, give the amex hotline a call (if you are using amex-issued cards). i did that, amex said they will honour the $10 credit and will investigate + update their shop small map/ a week on, that vendor is no longer on the website and I got a $10 credit. fyi, that did not count towards my ten times on that card.

Thanks for that, I had a cafe last week who said they gave up Amex ages ago even though the website still listed it.
