I got the Plat Charge card for my wife when she was my supp about 2 years ago.
 
FYI I asked Amex and they said no maximum number of referrals or referral bonus points, so this must have changed at some point.
 
Handy to know Plutonus, though I suspect we will be less likely to be asked for referals in future given the new annual fee.

Last request on here that I responded to promptly was not particularly honourable in behaviour and so it makes you cautious about referring. Still I have made one referral off a ff request to robd, who was a delight to help out.

I got a random 15K referral bonus but I didn't refer anyone? Go figure.

I think I have figure out what it is. I was referred by a friend but never got my 15K bonus points after my $500 spend so I had to call up Amex and escalate the issue; it was resolved eventually with marketing manually processing the points bonus. I'm guessing that this new 15K bonus is the automated processing and provisioning of the bonus I should have got months ago!

I'm still sitting around waiting for my 15k. It did say in the T&Cs that it would take between 8-10 weeks to post, so just waiting for my 2nd statement to arrive and if the points haven't posted by then, I will have to call up to complain. My referrer has gotten her 20k bonus already!

Yeah, my referrer got their points almost immediately after I got the card but mine took a very long time. Yesterday I cleared my MR balance to KrisFlyer to be safe in case they want to grab back the 15K.

Applied for Plat Edge card last week and was approved. Received the card yesterday, activated this morning and setup my web account. Logged in to my account to find 15k points already in my account, without making a purchase. :D

Huh. I've waited the 8-10 weeks, and have sent two support requests - still no sign of the points :-(

You win some and you lose some. I had to battle EDR to get my signup bonus for the MC (they said I applied thru the wrong link) and I've only just got my 10,000 pts from Virgin Flyer card, 5 months after spending the required amount.

Hang in there :rolleyes:
