So I got the 10k bonus points.... But the Groupon deal was refunded due to their technical issue..... Does that mean I will lose the bonus points as now under $500 spend?
Also no friend referral on site for FREE Edge anymore... Just prem card/no flight?

typically if they deduct points from you it's a manual process for bonuses. so you will lose the 500 points for your purchase, but keep the bonus points.

they don't have free platinum edge anymore but you still get the free flights etc

I got the points in and transferred via the 155 bonus offer to VA.
Now this Free flight......can I have anyone take it?
Can someone who has used it for themselves or booked for someone else please give me the procedure if I want to have someone else(family member use flight?

I just booked one today for Jnr. for early August. Phone the number on the back of your card and tell them who & when for the flights. The itinerary will be emailed to you.

Theyll ask for an email address to send the ticket to. So you can get it sent straight to the other person...they can then do seat selection online.

I had this card for a while and yes the redemption is quite straightforward. Typically you can get on any flight where VA has "saver" fare available (just check on VA website and pick your flights and alternatives then call in), even when they're expensive. Itinerary comes through email immediately afterwards. No troubles whatsoever.

You used to when Amex had QF as a partner, when they downgraded to VA they did away with points unfortunately.

Flight booked.
Finding Amex exceptional service compared to any other card I have!
Even to the extent they acknowledged longer than usual wait time(before I said anything) and apologised!!!
Have to 6pm tonight to change anything on ticket for Free.
Any changes after that cost $107.

You are more than likely to get offered bonus points to stay which will be between 15000-23000, but if you are looking for annual fee free, your chance is slim.
