Applied and got approved for Business Platinum (with reduced fee of $300) - but the card has been sent by Australia Post Regular (not even Express!).

Is this the new norm? I remember getting Amex Plat personal the next day but that was a number of years ago.

I got mine next day when I applied a year ago. I think it was sent via DHL express.

I've noticed a lot of cost cutting. Even last year chat seemed to be available 24/7 and I have chat logs speaking to people at 11 PM at night. Now it's Monday - Friday during business hours. Also I had to wait 2 hours to get a response. At 11 it was a few minutes wait.

Not to mention point devaluation and stripping of some perks (Amazon credit, 1 free night changed with Accor).

My personal plat in 2024 was expressed, supps also expressed via AusPost. But maybe location is a factor - I’m in Perth, so they probably don’t want me waiting a week each time for snail mail.

Ordered a couple of supps on Tuesday which were all approved. Cards 'sent' email received Wednesday morning - but still haven't received the cards on Friday. No rush, but that is slow! In Melbourne.
