AMEX Life Insurance - 20k pt Bonus

I pretty much always see a transaction clear and then a period of time before the points show up. I wouldn't panic just yet.
 
My second application payment cleared today, however it's yet to appear on my points transaction...so will wait and see! Fingers crossed!!!
 
FWIW I've had two applications clear this morning along with other transactions and haven't received points for anything yet - I've noticed it happen with a few other transactions previously so should come good!

Confirmed that points received for all four accounts including the linked cards.
 
Same here for me...second lot of points hit.

Edge & explorer...both cards & insurance policies in my name...both linked to ascent. 40k ascent points.

Got my 20,000 as well. Good luck clawing back the points when I cancel my AMEX card at the end of this month!
 
Points have landed for my Amex Platinum Velocity. Unfortunately need to wait one month for the Platinum Edge as I foolishly went for the monthly payment option. I won't be doing that again.

I never said you were foolish, just me. When I went the monthly option I wasn't aware you could pay the annual levy upfront, bag the points almost immediately and then cancel the premium during the cooling off period. Instead now I have to wait 4 weeks when in my case I need the points pronto to book an award flight out of here. If you were in Kabul like yours truly I suspect you'd be just as desperate for a long weekend away as I am.

If you cancel within the cooling off period, or indeed within 6 months, you may lose your bonus points.
